Elijah’s House

Coming from Baltimore md, Elijah's House was a totally different atmosphere. The family and staff did a great job they loved me back to life, and for that I'm eternally greatfull. I love these people !.

When my insurance was unable to find a center for me to detox, I scrambled trying to find a place with a bed that I could afford. I chose to roll the dice on Elijah's. I am so happy that I did! They worked with me on pricing, could take me the same day I called, and very friendly/kind during the phone interview. I ended up spending 7-days at this center and I can honestly say this place is magical. I have spent time at other detox centers and in my mind, none of them compare to this place. I've never been treated with such dignity and kindness especially when I wasn't feeling like I deserved it. ALL staff was nice, flexible and accommodating. There's a backyard for cigarettes whenever you want one, there's a tv with a bunch of streaming services, and the staff cooks delicious inhouse meals for breakfast, lunch, & dinner (plus loose snacks anytime you're hungry). Super grateful for this place and all who dwell within!

This was such a great establishment when I did my treatment here last year. I had no problems with my stay here. The staff was informative, friendly, and very helpful. The facility is clean & comfortable. The programs were very helpful in my recovery and I am grateful I was able to get the help I needed here! Highly recommended

A year ago today I walked through those big doors of Elijah's House and began my road to a better life. At first glance you immediately breathe a sigh of relief the house is huge, clean and in a very nice and quiet neighborhood. I was warmly welcomed in with open arms by staff and residents alike. They are very efficient and pay attention to every detail whether it be your paper work, medications, food needs, you name it they are on it(within the rules of coarse lol). The beds were comfortable I slept very well. I thought the programs curriculum was very well put together it really brought me closer to myself and taught me so much that it would take a book to tell. The staff and residents became a family to me still today. If you refuse to be a hospital atmosphere like I did this is the place for you. It's really like your at your home away from home. Food is what it is, I liked just about everything but thats me and some people complained all the time, not everyone's palate is the same so they change it up a lot which I like. If you truly trust and buy into the program it works cause once you walk out those doors your choices are yours alone again and with the tools they give you, you will confidently start making the right ones. This placed saved my life!! I was pregnant, homeless, without insurance, and not a dollar to my name and Pam flew me out to California from Illinois to come to Elijahs house. Pam let me stay there for free, went the extra mile to go buy me protein shakes, fruit, gatorade when I was so sick detoxing and couldn't eat. The house was beautiful, I got a private bedroom and bathroom, homecooked meals, one on one with a therapist and counselors, more personal treatment than i've ever received in the past. Forever grateful for this place, Sena Pam Jasmine Jen, all the people who were a part in the beginning of my recovery process. 10/10 would recommend!!!
